Learn the secret to authentic masculine power as a man through our 10-week discipleship course.
Catalyst is a 10-Week small group God encounter designed to connect men for the purpose of making disciples. It is an effective way to help the men in your church take the quantum leap from friendship to brotherhood. This journey empowers men to see their great need for each other, exposes pride, and teaches them that weakness may be their greatest attribute. We have witnessed many spiritual breakthroughs in men that have made this journey. When the 10 weeks are over, a true spiritual brotherhood is the result.
Catalyst is a great way to launch one or more SPAR Groups. It also fits perfectly in a Spring/Fall Bible Study line-up in the local church. Some men use it as a follow-up to Men's Bootcamp, and others find it a great tool to reach out to new men.
Anyone can lead a 10-week Catalyst. Although there is a short teaching segment in each session, one does not have to be a gifted teacher to lead a group of men on this journey. If you have a passion to see men connected and discipled, then you will be fruitful and effective as a Catalyst leader.
The weekly meetings will take 90 minutes and will need to be conducted in a private place, such as a church or an office. There needs to be adequate space to break up into small groups of 2-3 as well.
Catalyst is for men who want and need genuine brothers in their life. It is also for men who want to go deeper in their relationship with God as well as those who need freedom from a habitual sin or stronghold.
Catalyst helped me take a serious look at how pride was robbing me of so much in life. God opened my eyes to how my “wanting to be right” was hurting my wife. I also saw more clearly my tendencies to avoid pain and control my life and others. I never knew that all of this was simply pride- me trusting in myself instead of my wonderful and powerful Father God. It was a relief to learn how to humble myself and slowly learn to trust God. This empowered me to go deeper in my relationships, especially with my wife and children. And they are very grateful!
Catalyst opened my eyes to how much I really needed other men in my life and how they need me. I had build a bad habit of carrying my burdens all on my own and thought that was the "manly" thing to do. Catalyst gave me a place to be honest with myself and other and it equipped me with the tools I needed to do the same for others!
Before Catalyst I had only surface relationships with a few men in my church. While going through Catalyst we were encouraged to take an honest look at ourselves and many different aspects of our lives as men. We were honest about how we were showing up with our families, at work, with friends and others. During our time together we asked and answered tough questions that helped me to realize that I am not alone in my struggles and challenges in life. I connected with the men in my church at a deeper level than I had before. The result of my Catalyst experience was a stronger bond with the men in my church and true friendships I had been longing for.
Catalyst was a very intense encounter for me. It leaves very little room to hide if one will submit to the process. I slowly let my guard down and surrendered to what the Spirit wanted to do in me. It was great freedom. God rewired some things in me that needed transformation. For me, Catalyst exposed the lies and helped me to receive God’s truth about who I am as a man.
