These two men knew there had to be a better way to make disciples. They decided to duplicate what Jesus did with his 12 disciples. They made many mistakes throughout the years but refused to give up. In 2008, Men’s Boot Camp began, and the movement of making disciples relationally was in full swing. Men began to experience genuine freedom from porn, shame, alcohol, unforgiveness, and pride. Most importantly, men began to live a lifestyle of godliness.
The East Texas Men’s Movement is a network of churches experimenting with the Jesus Model of Discipleship: ordinary men discipling ordinary men. Marriages, children, teens, and churches are being changed through the ministry of this rag-tag band of brothers.
We have discovered that men are hungry to be intimately connected with other men. And once this connection takes place, spiritual growth accelerates. Husbands begin to love and serve their wives. Dads begin to spend more time with their children. And the local church takes part in the benefits as well: more mature and committed leaders.
Every man also has a God-given desire to be a part of something big. Our men have watched in amazement as God continues to multiply the fruit of their labor. We have seen almost 2,000 men go through our Men’s Boot Camp and we now have leaders in 8 states. We enjoy helping new churches and regions learn how to make disciples like Jesus did. Let us serve you!
